Insurance liability

Hi everyone,
Due to the recent floods the owner of the apartment below me which is on ground floor has had their front porch damaged. They are claiming as I am the owner of the property above that I am liable for the cost of repairs and are asking for my insurance details. I find this a bit strange as the damage is caused by excessive rainwater from the sky and not water coming from my properties supply. Surely they should be claiming from their own insurance because I don't control the weather and therefore not at fault. Does anyone have any advice on this matter.
