I am wanting to buy a car in the U.K to leave there for when we visit, however, I am struggling to find any company in the U.K. that will insure me with my Spanish driving license. Can anyone advise please?
Are you sure it's the Spanish licence as that itself should not present a major obstacle?
It's more likely to be the fact that you are not UK resident which will be a difficult nut to crack as it's a prime prequalifier with virtually all UK insurers.

Yes I think you are right. It’s because we are not a U.K. resident.
