Hello

Would like to hear of experience / recommendations of a reliable insurance company for a property we have just completed on . We plan to live there full time when we are able.  Our bank has offered cover with Mapfre but not aware of their reputation.  Also had a quote with Helvia to compare . Any suggestions welcome . We will be in El salado Torrevieja

Thanks Annie

Speak to Alfonso at Gran Alacant. They advertise on here. Excellent service.

Hi Annie,

I'd recommend Liberty Seguros - they have been very efficient when dealing with our claims and, most importantly, have never declined a claim.  My experience of buying insurance through a bank is that it's generally more expensive, but somes banks, Sabadell for example, may reduce your bank account fees if you buy insurance through them, so the net effect could be worth it.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Annie,

There is, but I don't know whether they speak English (or you speak Spanish), so you may find it more convenient to use an agent - here's a selection:

Alfonso got my insurance through them and gave me a renewal discount.
