Hello. I'm Roisin . Strongly thinking of moving to torrevija to retire to the lovely sun. Before that I intend possibly going over in March for a month / 6 weeks to see how I feel there on my own. I would love to meet up with a coffee group some day to find out about activities around . So if you know of such a group I'd be very grateful if you'd let me know.

Look up Torrevieja 3a.org for activities that may suit you , including coffee mornings , walk and talk groups

You can create your own group in Torrevieja which is perfect. What section of Torrevieja are you looking into buying. I had an idea but Estate Agents showed me around & I fell in love with a different section. I've an amazing home there and kept my own home in England. Gives you the best of both world. I'm happy to meet up for a coffee if were over at the same time

Well I love to spend time on the beach so I'd like to be able to walk to it and I'd need to be near the bigger shops , do that's what I'll look for when I'm over . Unfortunately I won't be able to keep my home here which is a big dilemma and worry for me . That's why I wanted to meet some people first so I know I won't be lonely. I feel I would possibly live between torrevieja and La. Zenia maybe. I'm open to suggestions. I'm generally a very friendly person and I'd like to be near those that speak English.

Torrevieja is an amazing area. I would say that as my homes there lol. From my home I get a bus to Torrevieja sea front. I'm walking distance to Carefore, Harbanaras shopping centre and loads of cafes and bars. I find its an amazing area. I dont know your other area well enough to comment. As soon as you find the home in 1 of the areas you stated, your know it's the place for you.
Gladly we have a bus from Alicante airport directly to Torrevieja bus station.

There is an Irish group in Torrevieja people from all over Ireland.
On Thursdays after 10 a.m. Mass in the La Inmaculada Church in the Centre of Torrevieja. Also there is a meeting on the first Thursday of each month.
Next month on the Feast of St Brigid there is a special Mass and workshop on the ma,I g of St. Brigid s crosses with a bilingual Mass with Irish hymns.
St. Patricks Day there are further celebrations.
