I currently live in South Wales and I am retired, my son and I are looking to relocate to Torrevieja  and rent a property long term. I have been pouring over properties which are suitable on the net and are coming out to the area once the current crisis ends. Could anyone give me a contact e.g. estate agents to be able to contact and get the ball rolling. I would be grateful for any assistance at this stage.

Could you give an idea what type of accommodation you looking for?

We came and stayed in a trip advisor rental whilst looking for a long term rental property.

I googled alquiler larga temporada Torrevieja, and had several properties listed, which proved unsuitable in various ways.  We walked around the area, noted phone numbers from windows and engaged the assistance of a Spanish guy to phone them on our behalf.  The feedback was that they wanted us to have a Spanish bank account in place before they would consider us as tenants, so you might wish to consider this as a priority.

We had just about given up when the property weare now renting popped up on this forum, outside our preferred area, but we took it so that we could carry on looking. We have since decided that we are happier in this property than we would have been in our first choice of area, also that long term renting is a better option when the inevitable happens, and our children have to sort things out.

Hi

Yeah I'm looking for a long term rental property, villa, bungalow, house, apartment my son and I aren't bothered in that respect. To be a bit more definitive 2+ bedrooms, I bathroom, decent size kitchen, air conditioning, communal pool close to beach or most local amenities. I am financially stable having retired as a civil servant and my son is an LGV class 1 driver who will be looking for work of any nature preferably driving but he isn't fussy.

Regards
