I spent 3/4 months looking online before I visited Torrevieja. Yes, it is a lot to take in and I felt overwhelmed at times. I just took a break from searching for a day or two, then I’d continue! I bought thru Talmar Properties and took my time! While selling agents sell, remember there are plenty of properties on the market. Have your priority list ready! Good luck!

Hi Anita27

If you can live of your savings in the UK it will be easy here in Spain but if you need to work then there could be a problem unless you have a usefull skill. Jobs are far and few and often low paid.

Wishing you luck

Take care Melissa. Try looking online to get a feel for what’s available,  do out that priority list for you! It won’t go to waste. Good luck!

Hi we bought  a house last year just outside torrievica beside Habernas shopping centre. We use it 4-5 times . We love it . 5 mins walk to carrefour. Other shops closer. Bus on route to torrievica.  There are loads of english and irish where we live. They are so friendly and helpful.

Its a great place to live so handy for resturants  just ten mins walk. We bought bikes and love cylclingas it's all level ground. Check out jardin del mar . Some beautiful houses and appartments in peaceful area

Hi Anne (and Anita). I was in a similar position but made the move 4-5 years ago. Regrets? Nope. None.

Are there "cheap" properties around? Definitely. It depends what you want, but they ARE still around.

Difficult initially? Not really. Yes, there's bureaucracy but it's not insurmountable.

Cheap to live? Oh yes! I remember my monthly outgoings in the UK and here it is but a fraction........and I eat well and the wine rack is always stocked!

If you want to chat it over, drop me a P.M

Good luck!!

I too am awaiting receipt of my withheld pension, and trying to stretch my savings. You might like to check out the properties on Camping San Javier. PM me for a link, if interested. Good luck with the search, and don't be daunted by the challenges. "You've got this".

Hola Juanita

Thank you that was an encouraging response  I just need as much information as possible  I'm hoping to find a 2 bedroom or 3 if possible I have seen a few online but it's so frustrating as I have to sell my house first and see what I'm left with but I do have a ball park figure it's just all the other stuff that has to be put in place that confuses me but I will appreciate any help

Thank you

Anita
