...p; but  past  few day  have  broaden my search  out a bit,  a lot  more  property for  your  money,  My  2  main  concern  are  Health  care  and  July  August  with  the  heat,  but  came across  2  properties  with  full  kitted  out basement, where one  could put a bed  during Hot  season,  I  have  no family ties  with Ireland,  have a car   flight and apartment  sorted  for late September,  My  calculation says  about  350  a week  to  live  maybe  400  with a car,,  15 a  week  electric   10  a  week  water,   Community charge 8 a week   Home  insurance  5  a  week   Suma  6  a week   Personal  tax  5  a  week,  Internet   Tv   10  a week, those are  some figures  I  have  gather  together,  anything  left over  pays for  mobile phone I  am  not  a  pub  person either,  but  must  pick  up  Spanish language,

But   at  the  end  of the  day  it  is  only  1  person  who  can decided, ,it   will  take  courage,  and  dont  look  back  if you  move,,I will not  be  working in Spain,  maybe  voluntary work,  a   person  will  need to  get  involved  with  something,  Hope  it  goes  someway  to help,  As  you  are  a woman  you  will  get more  help  than I   got,  but  help  and advise  I  was  very  good, not  complaining

It  would  nice  to  share  ideas  Good  and  bad,  about  moving  to   Alicante   what  you  leave  behind,   I  think  English  people  have  more  Bridges  to  cross  than  Irish   due  to  Brexit.

Have  you  pick  any  specific  area you  like,  La  Zenia  Coba Roig area   appeals  to me   The  quad Bungalow  look  nice

Look  forward  to  your  reply

Philip

hello I think as near to Alicante as possible..  not too far from airport..  I do not like the long journeys from airports to destinations.  and any visitors would feel the same..

Santa Pola looks good.. At the moment we are allowed to stay 3 months .. which may suit me -while getting used to the situation.  I am single mature lady - but I have no family so no ties to Uk.. nothing really to keep me here..  I have two dogs who are my world..  - so I have consider my pets when travelling.

...ider my pets when travelling.

You  are  in  the  same  boat  as  myself ,  no  family  in  Ireland,   2  Sisters  in  UK.

I  am  undecided  at  the moment  as to  a  Holiday  Home  or Permanent  Home, either  way  it will  be  a quad Bungalow.

I  was  in  fact  today in  Dog  rescue centre,  as  would  like a  wee Jack Russell around the house,   as  need  to  get  use  to dog,  as  would bring  Dog  to Spain,   but nothing  available  and a waiting  list  a mile long,  due to Covid. I  will  not  purchase  off  website   as  too expensive,  and  it  encourages  Breeders   to  produce  more Pups, have been advised  to wait  as  sadly  half  of  pups purchase  during lockdown  will be  surrendered

Have  you  look at  La Marina  area,  my  reason  for  mention  that  area  is  some  properties  have  Central  heating  in  that  area,  as  Homes in  Spain  are designed  to keep cool in Summer,   so  when  cold  season  arrives  you  need  heating,   I  have  been  using Webcam around Torrevica,   and  people  are  wearing  similar clothes to myself in cold south east of Ireland   La Marina  is  handy  for  Alicante airport,   If   I   were  to move to  Spain  permanently,   I  would  purchase  a  car,

What  type  of  property  are  you  looking  at,  have  you  any  plans  to  visit  Spain   when  allowed  to  enter  Spain,

I   am  arriving  in  Spain  September 18  and  have  a  Car booked  as  will  visit  areas  that  interest  me,  in  the  evening  time  and  early  morning  to  check  if  it  is  a  quiet  area,  I  do  not  want  to  be near  Pubs  and clubs,   i  do  not  want  to  be   with  any  particular  estate agents,  just   see  property  I  like  and  make  appointment, Yes  Agent  will  give  you   good  points  about  property,   but  they  won't  know  if  Property  are rented  out, but  good  friends  and  family  who avail of  property can  make  more  noise  and hassle  than  renters,, it   is  good   to  check  area in  cold months  as  it  does not  turn   into  a ghost  town  and  everything  closed  down

   Keep  in  touch Phil
