Hello everyone!

We are new to this forum and I would like to thank everyone in advance for your help. We are a family from Canada with 5-year-old twins and we are planning to move to Costa Blanca (hopefully by May 2019 at the latest). We are not tied to any specific city or area and we are looking for your honest opinion what would be the best part of Costa Blanca to move to. The area we are interested is mostly around Torrevieja (Ciudad Quesada, Rojales, Los Balcones ...), but we are certainly open for all the suggestions. What we want though is that the city/area is inhabited throughout the year. What's most important is finding a kindergarten for our kids in the same area or max distance up to 10 km. Possibly Spanish because we want our children to integrate into the system as soon as possible. Does anybody know any good kindergarten?

We are looking for a house with a private pool. Is it better to contact the agency to find a long term rental house or we have more chances with private listings? How do we find private ones? Is there an advertisement locally? We saw some ads on kyero.com and idealista.es. Does anyone have any experiences renting houses with them? Is that safe? Is there any good agency that someone can recommend? We are currently in Germany so it’s not a problem for us to come and see some potential houses.

I hope I'm not overly demanding and that you will find few minutes to respond to me and share your experiences. I hope that I have been able to provide enough information on what we are looking for. We are open for all the suggestions and I repeat, what is most important to us is the kindergarten and the urban area that is inhabited throughout the year. Especially, with other kids around!!! :-)

Thanks in advance for your help! 😀😀

Look up guarderia...Spanish for kindergarten... on Google for the area you are looking at.

Kyero and idealista are portals that agents put properties on, therefore you end up dealing with an agent anyway.

Your children are 5....so look for schools not kindergartens as they start school at age 3 here.

Thank you for your reply. I am familiar with the schooling system and I hope we'll have no troubles finding the good one. And the one that still have few spots available. 🤪

Hi Pete, thanks for your reply. I am not concerned with the language skills as they are still so little and they can pick up new things very easily. We've been in Germany for a year already and they learned enough German to be able to talk to the teachers and to the other kids. Now, they will have more than a year to learn Spanish (before the real school starts). So no need for private schools here. 😊😊
