Hi everyone we are a young family from Israel (30y) +1 kids (2y)+dog, planning to move to Torrevieja area.
I am a EU citizen and work remotely as a computer developer.

I have some questions about the area.

1. what is like to live there as a young family? do the area have activities for kids? playgrounds and stuff?

2. what is best areas in Torrevieja to live?

3. how are the nurseries in the area? we have talk with piccolo nursery , somebody know what is like?

4. what are the people like? do they speak English? I am learning Spanish about 2 years and my wife know Spanish very good.

and if we can talk with some young family on WhatsApp this will be great.

Thanks!

Can I suggest looking at the La Siesta area.

Mixed nationalities.  Everything you need there including La Caseta  nursery,  health centre and even a lovely aqua park.

Great area for families.

May I suggest you look at the suburbs rather than Torrevieja itself

I would recommend the areas of La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Villamartin

Mostly English speaking, and if you speak Spanish that’s a bonus

Plenty to do , lovely beaches, great recreational facilities and schools, not to forget the many excellent restaurants in the areas

Lots of young families such as yourselves

Google the places mentioned, and if you require any further information, feel free to contact me for adv

Utter nonsense.

It's a working town but it's far from unpretty, indeed the town centre and front are very nice and well kept. The town itself bustles with life. Great bars, restaurants sports and retail facilities, great outdoor walks and close to all major transport routes.

As for drink and drugs problems you'd need to back that up with evidence rather than hearsay.

However, I'd advise the OP to come and look for himself for a week or so before deciding.
