Plenty of information on healthcare matters in the link given earlier in this Thread but for brevity would say this.

If one requests an S1 form from Newcastle they will only post it to a Spanish address; there is no other way to receive it.

That form must be registered at the INSS, (Instituto Nacional de Seguridad Social (National Institute of Social Security) and accompanied with your Residencia.  Obviously to have that you must be on the Padron as well as meeting all the requirements necessary for the issuance of Residencia, so the S1 is for when one is going to live permanently in the EU (or as has been stated of your here longer than 90 days). As a visitor it's the EHIC card which (in general) only covers for medical emergencies that can be used. Thus, it will be prudent to still get temporary overseas health insurance.

Finally, if you are covered by an S1 here you are indeed afforded cover if you visit the UK.  From the horses mouth (so to speak) here's the details in black and white - a photo of the back of the accompanying letter to my S1 Form posted out to me late December last year.

So Pedro (bet it's Peter really 😃) have a wonderful stay.  The UK is just too cold.

I would ring NHS overseas branch for advice on 0191 2181999 to ensure correct advice.

However I personally think as you don’t intend to live in Spain that S1 definitely does NOT apply and you would use your EHIC and might be a good idea to get long term policy for holiday insurance which you can get from Avanti insurance among others you just tell them exact number of days you are going to be here ( I did this for 179 day stay last year) also watch out that your house contents insurance at home covers you for long term absence as normal absence for holidays should be one month unless someone is living in your home you could get a family member to stay overnight once a month each month you are away and that is ok

Hi Val, a lot of good info there, yes I did look at health insurance from a third party and a few I looked at only went up to 90 days, I will look at Avanti and see what they say. Thank you. 

Hi, we have spoken a lot about  insurance etc; but what I need to verify is , do I need to open a Spanish bank account if I am going to be there longer than 90 days?

You don’t have to have a Spanish bank account at all unless you live here then would be a good idea

Thanks Val, it's a little confusing, when I read one expat site, they mentioned after 90 days, you have to get a Spanish bank account and as I was going to be there till May/June I thought it may apply to me. 

Morning Ray. I thought there was something I had to do after 90 days. I'm making sure I get everything in order before I commit myself. I still have to sort accomodation before I can come over. I have a few options lined up, just choosing right one for me.
