My wife and I are looking to move to the Torrevieja area in the next few months and we are looking for recommendations for which area to buy in, obviously we all have our favourite areas but we are wanting to know what is going on locally in these areas, bars, restaurants, shops, etc. also if near to a local bus route, things to do etc. Thank you in advance for any information we recieve on the forum, regards Billy.

Hi, we have gone for La Siesta, it’s not far from beaches and a lake, bus stops and there are some bars/restaurants a short walk away. Plus a aqua park which is good for our grandson. It seems nice and relaxed and quite pretty. And shopping mails are not to far either. Worth a look 👍

We moved to San Luis 8 weeks ago. Love it here. It does have a bus route - every 40 minutes and takes about 20 minutes to get into Torrevieja. There is also a Mercadona just 7 minute walk from us and a little English shop for the things you may not get in the Spanish supermarket in the square. All the bars and restaurants here are very good and more to the point very friendly. I have had the same hairdresser in the UK for over 20 years and was very apprehensive to let another hairdresser touch my hair. Just by talking in the square a loverly lady recommended Jo’s in the corner of the square..I went in and spoke to Jo then made an appointment. I went every 6 weeks in the UK for either a parting half or full head of tin foil highlights and a cut and blow dry, I now have the loverly Caroline who totally understood my concerns and took the time to talk me through the products in Spain. We lived in London before moving here and I was amazed at the cost. Let’s just say I have booked every 6 weeks  up until Christmas already.
