I have 2ltrs of paint I want picking up from Huddersfield Yorkshire and delivered to Torrevieja in late November.

That's the problem. You just can't get paint in Torrevieja. ;-)

Of course you can. What do you think the Spanish use? Just about every feriteria sells paint. Make a start with Leroy Merlin in the Habeneras cantre up near Carrefour.
There are also two paint stores on c/Acacio Rebagliato Pamies which is on the industrial estate near the Tanatorio/ Friday market. I have bought from them on a number of occasions.

A distributor in Malaga but can't get any sense out of them

Excuse my ignorance, but what can Farrow and Ball do that other paint makers can't?
Many paint suppliers can scan a colour that you supply and create that same colour in the shop. Just like they do with car colours.
