Was walking to the supermarket at Punta prima yesterday morning, no warning just one blue police van with lights on. As I got about a metre saw them putting a dead man who had been hit crossing the road into a body bag. Horrible scene and so sad for the person. Very severe injury… I’m posting as I’m in shock at the lack of dignity for this poor person. Adults and kids allowed to simply filter past with no thought to the trauma caused. Surely the police or whoever should rethink how things like this are handled.

So sad

What a shock for you. The funeral will probably be tomorrow as Spain don't keep their dead for too long either.🙏🙏

One is never safe of anything, anwhere, anytime - so enjoy life while you still can, it's now or never. Paradise doen's exist, but it doesn't need much efforts to make your own, the world belongs to everyone - the best things in life are free!!.

Had that been in the UK it would have had police looking into how this happened, looking at tyre tracks etc. Cant believe the lack of dignity in this place what is wrong with the Spanish that they cant show any compassion?

People die, it's a fact of life.

Nobody is done any favours by being shielded from these things. We all, or nearly all, have to deal with injury and death at some time in our lives.

It seems a peculiarly British trait to look away and pretend it doesn't happen. Perhaps it has to do with Queen Victoria and table legs

As you don't know what has happened I don't understand why you have written this post about the lack of dignity of the Spanish people. As for the police putting a body in a body bag, I think it would be the ambulance people doing it.

Hello

I agree with you that its not nice,  but thats because it is something Brits are not used too.  Spanish people however are & therefore don't have a problem with it.

Every country does things differently ....... I  lived in Barbados, & sudden deaths & accident victims would be left  in the hot sun , often uncovered, for  more than an hour before a vehicle came to take them away -- nothing unusual , it was the norm for them, no mention of dignity there.

Cheers

Although someone has unfortunately died in an accident, I can't understand what was handled badly?

That's what you get when Brits judge the Spanish (and other nationalities) others by their own standards.

When in Rome.........

So you think it’s ok for a 5 year old girl to walk past a man with half his brain splattered all over his face and road. That child and possibly others will have nightmares for god knows how long…. So if you think that’s on ok way to handle something like this well good on you.

I would have taped of the area and prevented any children seeing something that a young brain can’t handle…. But hey ho….. that’s just me!
