The bus suggestion is perfect. I think I’d take a notebook with me and record anything that appeals to you and anything that you dislike. After travelling on all routes, cross off the areas that don’t appeal to you,  make a list of the places you’d consider. Take the bus again and this...

...  time get out and walk about.  Note positives and negatives. Now you are ready to visit an estate agent to enquire about an affordable home. Enquire about areas that have experienced flooding and take them off your list.

Before arriving in Torrevieja, make a list of what you would like eg coastal walks, mountain views or whatever appeals to you.  Don’t let your heart rule your head. Remember what you actually would like and try to get it.

You will notice on your trip by bus, many houses/ apartments are for sale privately.  Make a note if the ‘phone numbers.  Take a photo with your iPhone of the property, telephone number  and the area. This will give you something tangible to look at after you day of searching.

I’m sorry that I can’t offer to help you during your visit as I don’t live in Spain.

Many homes in Torrevieja don’t have the luxury of a pool, some do. The urbanisations on the outskirts usually have a community pool. Perhaps a pool isn’t important and if not, put that on your list!

You will have to put a lot of serious thought into your choice of home. Car parking, big or small outside space, proximity to sea/ beach, storage, close to bank, restaurants, health centres, supermarket and more.  Will you have a car when you come to live or will you use the bus? All vitally important factors.

You can do it!  Make plans and lists!

Thank You! It was great.I am speechless it was so wondeful of you.that so many info. What a pity you are not there.🥰🥰

To help you start your search Robika, there are many 1 and 2 bedroom properties in the €50/60k price bracket in the Torreta 2 area of Torrevieja.

It is on the outskirts of Torrevieja, very near a Carrefour Hypermarket, a shopping Mall and very close to several bars and restaurants.

Pressing on This Link will take you to properties for sale in Torreta 2.

Thank You!!🥰🥰

Thank You !! Do you think can I do this with no spanish at all? Really sounds well your idea.I keep it in minde. But maybe till october I will learn some spanish.Do you think it is save when a 58 years woman wandering around alone.Or just I will be unnoticed like a tourist?

You'll be safe, don't worry.  And if you can speak English then you will learn Spanish just as easily. It's a nice language.

Good luck.

Good Morning Robika 25, I have been her 21 years and translate. I have extensive knowledge of the area and the building trade. I am a private retired person and not affiliated to any one. I will tell you the things the lawyers, estate agents and builders will not tell you about the area, buying and selling a house as I have helped many friends along the way. If I can be of help let me know. I have sent you a private message.

No I do not speak Magyar but tried google translate....
