I ordered something from the UK and it was supposed to take 3 to 5 days to get here. Well it's been 4 weeks and no little package. We are going back early in December and what do I do if it arrives and I'm not here? Can I give the Correos instructions to hold it for a month until we return? If I had any friends that were home I could ask them, couldn't I? Can I give out my NIE number like that?

Have you enquired about your package at the Correos office? Maybe it's being held as it may have attracted some customs payment before being released for delivery.

Check back with the company you have ordered from, via your order No. as to where the parcel is now?
Almost everything coming from the UK now, attracts VAT & Import tax payments ( sometimes more than the item ordered). It doesn't seem to be standard & some people say they havent had to pay but posts on this forum seem to say many have had extra charges.
Correos only hold things for 15days for collection, according to the yellow edged paper they leave with the collection details ---- and then return them to sender.
Hope you can track it down before you leave.
