I want to take back a small new sanding machine to the UK but as I only have a cabin bag that’s probably not possible (classed as tools)?……so do I wrap it up and post it…..hoping it’ll arrive at my UK address?…….having posted letters/greeting cards from Torrevieja in the past and the mail never having arrived I’m reticent to post it……advise please

Try DHL and you will really get your eyes opened. 50€ to send a A4 envelope of documents to UK. Would it not be cheaper to but a new sanding machine when you get to UK?

Exactly, 10kg case to go in hold is €20 with RyanAir if paid in advance

Doubt very much that airlines will accept, not because it is tools, but because it is electrical.

DHL probably will, as they own their planes, which only carry cargo.

Suggest you do as someone has previously suggested, buy a new one in the  UK.

Cheers, J

Posted a sky q box to ireland last week, cost 38 euros   it arrived at destination yesterday, needs to be boxed and well wrapped, if there is slight error post code etc it can go anywhere

Unfortunately the poster is dispatching to the UK which will incur additional paperwork (customs) and postage costs due to the UK being outside the EU and unless sent by DHL or similar courier service it will take much longer to reach its destination. Another advantage of Brexit!
