Looking to buy in La Siesta,  El Chapparral or Carrefour Zone.  We are looking for an area that is a  Predominantly UK Expats Community. Is one place more ex pat than the other please? Or are they all on a par?  Thank you

Bonjour Christine...Yes...There are lots of 'ex-pats' in all areas, but I would suggest that you search in the San Luis area where there are lots of things going on: Music venues/lots of bars/Good transport links into town and much more.

Should I be able to advise you further, just say 'Hola'...Hope this helps.πŸ…±οΈ.

I'm going to be severely criticised by some for saying this, but I'm going to anyway.

Having lived in west London for over forty years I was aware of the condemnation in the UK of those Asians who came to England and joined others in the already predominantly Asian areas. They became known as 'ghettos' and 'no go areas'. There were constant complaints from white indigenous people in the area that the Asians didn't integrate, didn't learn the language, and had essentially established a foreign community in dear old blighty.

I remember the race riots in Southall in the 1970s where white extremists vented their anger on those who had 'come to their country' and were taking it over. There were calls to the authorities to split up the Asian communities and force them to integrate.

And so, Bradford was created πŸ˜‰

Thanks for your response. We live on Mallorca amongst the Spanish and did intregate but now feel it would be nice to be amongst the English. Having gown up in Germany, my mum was German and for last 15 years meet and made lots of Spanish friends. In our twilight years we want the weather and to be predomantly amongst the English.

There you go again Ray.

Jumping in mouth first before you even know the background.

How dare you!

I'm not criticising Christine's background, in fact I can relate to a lot of it.

But it is as well to appraise her of what she might be getting herself into. For someone of her metropolitan background she may wish to reflect on the word 'predominantly', that's all.

Who are you, the word police?

As we say in London "Wind your neck in"

You jumped in and are now you're back tracking.
