Hi,

My wife and myself are coming over on Monday ( first visit since purchasing our property) I would like to take her out to celebrate. I am looking for a good restaurant in the heart of town ( Spanish please ) close to Ramon Gallard.

Thanks

Kevin

I think Patio Chico is excellent for both food and value . It’s one street back from the blue fountain.

Hi Wriggs,

I would have recommend "Sunset Beach" too - it's right at the end of the bay, overlooking the sea.  Fabulous food and a great wine list (gorgeous Chardonnay from the Navarra region), BUT it's Belgian, not Spanish.

Kind regards,

Kim

You must try Bahia Nuevas restaurant -it's lovely and serve all types of Spanish/International food - very attentive service and fab wine - the restaurant has received awards every year since 2010 - it's in a lane off the main promenade (tables inside or outside) - they also offer a 3 x course meal for 14euros - really lovely food and loads of it!

Tasca Nueva Bahia

Address: Calle Diego Hernandez,32
Reservations: Call saying you have been forwarded by Torrevieja.com 965705747  or 609202834

Days closed: NONE
Opening hours: 11 am – 4 pm and 7 pm – closing hour.

When we talk about Tasca Nueva Bahía, we are talking about the best meat and fish conforming their famous dishes.

It offers specialties highly demanded by experienced and determined customers, who find in this typical tasca the best service and assistance. Besides this, another typical flavour is the one we find in the sausages they bring from the land of Sierra de Gredos (Ávila), as well as the high quality cheese from Zamora or the best cecina from León.
You can enjoy all this accompanied by an extensive and carefully selected wine list.
Apart from this, this restaurant is a point of reference in Torrevieja’s tapas, as it obtained the first prizes in innovative and traditional tapas during the 2009 Tapas Marathon and the 2010 Tapasbook, and they were finalists in the first 2009 Tapas Marathon.

El Charro Negro is excellent but Mexican or we really like Pepe’s which is Spanish and do a great Paella. Both are a few yards Ramon Gallud.
