... has anyone used this store and if so what are their Plumbing products like, are they UK fittings, do they supply Pushfit any Brand or Hep2o, Polypipe, Speedfit solder ring, end feed, copper pipe length 10mm, 15mm, 22mm, 28mm or do I have to order from Screwfix in UK with the free delivery over £100 ?

When Tiling can you use an electric tile cutter, manual slide cutter or is it always an angle grinder for floors and walls ?

Unfortunately, Screwfix don't yet have an outlet in Spain.

You'll get most of what you want in Brico Depot or Leroy Merlin and Aki. The push-fit and solvent-weld products are OK. The only good thing about copper fittings is that the pipe is thicker and more durable than in the UK, but this does make it more difficult to bend. You can't get Yorkshire fittings. The end-feed and screw fittings are generally made to far too loose a tolerance, and are more difficult to work with. Watch a Spanish plumber and he'll use a few dozen wraps of silicon tape on a threaded joint, where in the UK I'd have just done two or three turns.

The vast majority of tiles are much thicker than in the UK, and must be fired at a high temperature. This makes them strong, but difficult to cut. The slide cutter I brought with me isn't substantial enough to cut them, but if you've got a lot of straight cuts to do, then it's worth hiring one of the larger cutters. Because all my tiling jobs have been relatively small, I've just used an angle grinder with a diamond blade.

For ordinary tiling jobs, the normal tile adhesive (cola) is perfectly OK. If you're tiling onto a wall that may suffer from rising damp, then use cola flexible. There's a very good cement-based grout called Morcem Color. Available in a lot of colours, and irons nicely.
