Can anyone advise about tiling prices , maybe it’s just me
But for the size of my small bathroom the quotes seem around this price
Can anyone shed their professional or knowledgeable opinion

They are just white tiles nothing fancy mate

If he is supplying the tiles then I would guess they are pretty basic trade type tiles, But let's guesstimate tile cost for 25 sq m (always will be wastage) let's say 500 euro for tiles and 150 for grout, I would guess it's less than that but will be kind, take 650 from the quote means he wants 1700 for labour, tell him you will give him 1600 + vat all in and personally I still think it's too much, has he estimated a timescale or how many days ?

If you are getting a Bathroom refurbished, there is nothing in Quote that refers to Bathroom or Shower
My Bathroom is 1.4 meters x 2.3 x 2.3 in height.
Quote I received last week was complete refurbished 4600 all new material, Put in Shower tray new shower fitting,1 Toilet for old person 450mm high new sink and unit, and a Touch electrical mirror,
Just to remove Bath and install Shower tray new fitting and Shower Screen and a Touch electrical mirror , Apartment is Upper Apartment 2100
Can you let me know how you get on by PM, as did try Leroy Merlin, 6500 complete refurbished, all paid on day of signing a contract

That’s Great information thank you very much mate , he said 4 days . I appreciate your help and thoughts . He got a bit pissed off when I asked him last time to come out for a quote stating “ I don’t like my time wasted etc “ I can understand but then again how am I going to know how much etc and info about the job respectfully dyou know what I mean Ron thumb

I would agree with the 4 day timescale given grout got to dry, so given his costs are around 650 max he is charging around 1700 for labour, 400 euro a day seems a bit steep to me, but it's your cash. Good luck.

That’s the thing it’s not a refurb , he only needs to remove the existing sink and toilet seat to obviously get the tiling done which he says he can do . Thank you for your response I will pm you yes . Did you get your finished in the end ?

Ron are you a tiler yourself ? Or in the construction game ? I really appreciate your help
do you think it’s rude to ask for a breakdown of costs and his labour do they do that ? Or is he likely to take the hump ?
I might take your advise and say this is my budget £ € and see what he says
