Can anyone recommend an English-speaking immigration lawyer in Torrevieja who is able to assist with obtaining residencia for a non-EU spouse from a country with no Spanish consulate?

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Thanks, but that's not a recommendation. There are lots of immigration lawyers, most of whom never deal with more unusual cases involving non-EU citizens. Hence the request for recommendations.

Assuming you're taking about yourself and your wife, if you are an EU citizen, and your income is sufficient, then your wife could apply as a family member of an EU citizen, using form EX-19. I mentioned this in my residency guide. You wouldn't then need an immigration lawyer.

I think you may have to widen your search area away from Torrevieja and consider using an interpreter. Abogados here will be experienced in dealing with the affairs of the Spanish and ex-pat population who are mainly European. To find a local one who also speaks English and is experienced in immigration from a country where Spain has no Consulate may be a request too far.
Does the country involved have any official presence in Spain? If not would it be worth contacting an Embassy or Consulate of the particular country in another EU country to see if they can help put you on the right track?
I would also give your own Embassy here in Spain a ring.
Best wishes.

Yes, me and my wife. Just to add to the "fun" I'm a Brit, not yet got Spanish residencia and can't get it before the end of October so our situation will probably be doubly difficult.
Thanks for your guides, lots of interesting reading there!

I'll still try to talk to a lawyer though, because there's always a difference between theory and practice, and local variations in how rules are interpreted. Unfortunately.

Thanks for your suggestions.

An interpreter would be doable if anyone has recommendations for a suitably experienced lawyer not too far from Torrevieja. Realistically we're probably on our own with this... But it was worth asking.
