Hello All

I am currently in the labyrinthine process of applying for the NLV as a UK citizen and am wondering whether it is still the case that one is required to leave ones passport with the Consulate while they consider the application (which could be for a period of months apparently).  I thought that I had been told that one could choose to retain it and return later to have the visa attached (if granted) but can find no confirmation of this on the official website.   Can anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks

Graham

Hi we did our last year at the London embassy. We left stamped address envelopes and we had our passports back within two weeks. That was just after a strike at the embassy last year.
