Surly the 12 month will be acceptable as it will include the 3 month period they require.

My bank supplied me with 6 months worth of statements on individual pages, at my tie appointment I handed over the paperwork showing the last 3 months first, yes the statements were scrutinised, but the official only really looked at the recent statement showing I had the adequate amount for residency at the time.

Babelia are helping me too. I was asked to get a “Modela_certificado salvo Medio_ Sabadell”

So I emailed my bank and quoting the above and was told I needed to come into branch and fill in a form. Which I have done.
I have only been with the bank 5 weeks and I have been informed the certificate will be ready tomorrow. It costs 10€  I wonder what it is I am buying?
Babelia asked me to supply 3 months UK bank statements for my file.
The certificate is the last piece of paper I need to supply then I can apply for residencia too.

Not sure about what you are purchasing, but it may be a certificate of savings? Or just a statement of funds in your account? I personally just went into my bank and asked for 3 months worth of statements and ended walking out with 6 months worth all signed, dated and officially stamped for my residency appointment. As for UK Bank statements I was asked initially to supply 3 months worth, so I just went online and printed these, but at the time of my appointment, they were not needed as I had by then had enough finances in my Spanish bank account, although the UK Bank statements showed I had a income from my private pension. At no stage was I asked to pay for any of the above.

When I was applying for permanent residency I also had to supply stamped and signed statements and an official  letter also from Sabadell bank to certify that I did indeed have a bank account with them and the statements were true!
