Does anyone know if you have to have a minimum amount of money coming in, to get residency each month in Spain, and does if cost to get it?

I'm sure someone will give you the current requirements, but the last I heard was a Spanish bank balance of €6000 per person and monthly income into a Spanish bank of €600, with bank statements showing these to have been in place for three months.

If you download and do the EX-18 and Modelo 790 yourself, then the fee is €10.60.

I've no idea how much it would cost to get someone else to do it for you.

You can download an EX-18 from various sources. The best is probably the following, as you can then fill it in on your computer and print it, although you may need to use a browser other than Chrome:

www.interior.gob.es/documents/642012/1601927/EX+18+Solicitud+de+inscripcion+en+el+Registro+Central+de+Extranjeros+_+Residencia+ciudadano+de+la+UE/1a00fd97-429b-488b-9de6-b4e46bdae4d0

You can also do the payment Modelo 790 online:

https://sede.policia.gob.es:38089/Tasa790_012/ImpresoRellenar

I've not heard of a criminal records check being required for residencia, only for citizenship and possibly registering a dangerous dog, but things may have changed. You can 'read all about it' here:
