Hello French Martini,
Apologies for pestering you but when the lockdown is lifted I need to get Residence done asap.
I have seen your very helpful posts on this issue and you say all the info. is under your name within the Residency section.
However I can't find your post on Residency requirements which you mention to other members ( I must be thick ! ),
Can you please send me the specific link ?
By T Way, contacted Newcastle Ref. my S1, and they say they now do not issue this unless you are moving within next 4 weeks.
Kind Regards,
Jan.

Jan - if you've not already done so, you could also look at:
It's well out of date, but the theory is still valid.
I've partly updated it, but con't complete the update and post it until face-to-face procedures open up again.

Jim, Can I please ask:-
With ref. to husband and wife applying for Residencia in Torrevieja.
Am I right in saying one EX18 Form must be completed for Husband and another separate EX18 Form for his Wife ?
Can a married couple not apply on same EX18 Form ?
I am pension age but my Husband younger so not quite pension age, but at the moment he still working full time in UK. We want to move to La Siesta, Torrevieja asap.
Because I have bad arthritis so need a warmer climate.
With my UK Pension and former Company pension I easily meet current income requirements for Residency, but if we come to Spain of course my husband would then be without income.
I don't know how the best way for us to apply ?

It's one form per applicant.
Ref finances, what happens after you get residency doesn't matter - you could empty your bank account! For residency, and from what all those who have given feedback, you need to show a monthly deposit of €900 or a credit balance of €7000, per person, maintained for three months.
If you can't manage either of those figures for the pair of you, then you apply in your own right, and your husband applies as a family member of yourself.
What will be required post-Brexit we don't yet know.
What will happen to the amount of finances required if parliament approve a new budget law this year, again we don't know.
Ref health, when you apply for your S1, make sure you get your husband covered at the same time.
Again ref health, my arthritis has certainly been a lot better since moving here.
Good luck when the time comes.

May I ask jan49 that you mentioned 7000€ credit balance for three months if someone show that amount do they still ask you for regular income each month as well or after showing 7000 euros balance you will allow residancia. Thanks

The few reports I've seen are that you don't need to prove both - one or the other will suffice.
