Los Balcones, Torrevieja - Just had a man in jeans and t-shirt with a blue saloon car with big dent in passenger door, flash a 'ID badge' at me and say in broken English that he's from the Guardia. Claimed it was routine to check the local area houses and cars..... up to no good I'm sure......

Sounds well dodgy but there are so many questions that people would want to know to potentially stop a future problem.

1. The OP stated he flashed his badge....was she just walking past him or did he pull her over in the car with some dodgy manoeuvre?

2. What did he actually say he wanted?

3. What did he actually want to check?

I mean people who haven't experienced anything like this need to know what to do and what not to do.

Example: you would never follow the car despite what they say to some back road if they tell you they are the police. You would just stay public as possiblel

It's unfortunate but some people are just not savvy. I hate these mongrels who pick on the vulnerable.
