Dear all,
Just to make people aware that I was robbed yesterday by pick pocket/s maybe two who managed to lift a purse out of my man bag after I had just been to the bank.
Which is something I never usually do there.I think I was targeted but it’s to make people aware. It was strange as this occurred either in or just outside the to acid shop on the corner on the he seafront. It was quick and ver slick. They took over 100€. Stay safe and lock up your wallets and purses.

I think Outside the tobacos shop almost opposite the taxi rank is seafront. Not sure who the offenders are if M or female. I was next Two people inside the shop, I think they were men but it happened in seconds and I did notice anything until a bit later. Weight difference in the bag. I think it was an opportunity crime and was split seconds.
Was followed by someone I think after I left the bank. These people are very clever anywhere in the world.unfortunately it happens to someone every day somewhere

Did you report it to the proper authorities? In some places it is illegal to not report a crime.

Not wishing to get picky but you were actually a victim of theft, not robbery. Robbery includes some element of violent/aggressive behaviour.
It doesn't change what happened and I'm sorry you were the victim of such a crime.

Yes possibly the case theft is still robbery in some form but I get your point.

I only heard today that a lady had her handbag stolen in the Mercadona supermercado Carpark just off the CV 905 road.
Perhaps there is a spate of these type of things happening? It’s happened in Torrevieja area before. Sad world now.

Hi David. Sorry for your experience. We all have to keep our wits about us .. it can happen to all of us without warning. Can you be more specific where this occurred please? Torrevieja/La Zenia? I know there have been many opportunist thefts around the Playa Flamenca/La Florida area. Stay alert, stay safe.

My theft took place either inside or just outside the tobacos shop on the corner on the seafront Torrevieja Almost opposite where the taxi rank is.
It did happen very quickly and I was targeted after getting some money out at the Banco Sabadell. Think I might have been watched. There has been some of this going on. I think it was around 130€ lost which is unusual for me to carry that money with me. It is just one of those things I guess.
People just need to be more cautious including me. I would probably accept it more if I had looked like a tourist which I didn’t.
