Hi my name is Mandy, I want to buy a property in the Torrevieja area, preferably next year, if not the year after. I have to sell my house, buy a cheaper 1 in swansea to fund it. I have looked at different websites and there seems to be conflicting information on what taxes and the amounts payable. I would initially be staying over for 6 months at a time until Sep 2026, when I could stay permanently.  My friend has bought a place and said I'd need an extra £19000 on top of the purchase price. My daughter will be joining me when she has finished her degree and PGCE and a friend is coming over with me. I would need 3 bedrooms, 2 of which should be on the ground floor, and I'll be bringing 2 dogs. I'm hoping for somewhere that accepts dogs, but it's hard to estimate my budget due to BREXIT which seems to make things more complicated.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the Info, I'm always having a bad maths day, so nothing new there. :) I hate the UK, the Government has once again messed up all my plans of having some respite for my arthritis, depression and raynaud's syndrome! Ill be even more depressed now! Was that income for a single person or a couple?
