Hi Claudio59,

Yes, SUMA does issue bills and the ones for our IBI and cars come to us in the post.  I don't have Direct Debits set up for them - I just go online at www.suma.es and pay them with my debit card, very easy and you can print off a receipt.

However, when we came to do our first Resident tax return, I gave a copy of our IBI bill to our tax advisors, as part of the batch of documents they required, and they set up a DD without telling me.  I wouldn't have minded that, but it meant the bills started going to them, instead of me, and I always had to ask them for a copy.

If your lawyer set up your DDs, then ask them if they have copies of your bills - they're going somewhere!  😀

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks all for your replies, I will definitely check with SUMA, have got the feeling this may be the case and as I have dropped tax service with the solicitors they may well not have done anything to revert them to me.... meaning I was right in thinking I wasn't getting value for money!
