I’m currently living in the UK with a Bungalow in Torrevieja now wanting to occupy it and I need to obtain NIE, Water & electricity services which was removed or disconnected sometime ago Being unoccupied

If you own a property then you already have a NIE number From when I’ve heard from other people it’s not an easy job to have the services reconnected and can be quite costly as you normally have to pay for new meters and you also will need to clear the outstanding debts before they will reconnect.

Do you intend to occupy your bungalow on a permanent basis or just for holidays?
If you are to occupy your bungalow on a permanent basis you will need to apply for a visa before you come to Spain to live.

When you purchased your property, how did you register for utilities and open a bank account etc. you have to show your NIE to buy electrical appliances etc. even the postman needs confirmation of your NIE when delivering tracked mail.
