non resident income tax

Hi...if it’s the Non Resident Tax that you are referring to, All non resident property owners should pay their ‘Non Resident income Tax’ ...basically it’s a tax that you must pay,even if you don’t rent out your property. Modelo 210 is the form for this tax. The tax is calculated on your Cadastral value of your property, which is found on your Annual Suma bill. This subject has been covered extensively and if you type in the search bar at the top of the page ‘Non Resident Tax’ then ‘everywhere’in the area, you will find lots of info on the subject. I have had my property over 10 years and have always filed my annual return by the due date 31st December, the amount of tax is only small...much better to pay and not be worried at some point that the Spanish Tax Authorities will come calling. I do know that if they do, not only do you have to pay what is owed but a fine also. 

In addition to what Cathy's said, they can charge you for the current year plus the last four years, interest on this, and a walloping fine.

Again, as Cathy's said, it's not a large amount. It's a legal requirement. Non-compliance can result in your bank account being embargoed, which means the bank won't pay out on direct debits, which means your utility bills don't get paid, to your electricity and water will be cut off.

It's just not the risk of trying to avoid it.

I have recently moved From the uk  to Torrevieja through employment, I’ve currently gained my NIE number and opened a Spanish bank account. I’m struggling to understand what income tax I actually pay here in Spain, could someone please give insight? I’d really apply it thanks.
