Hi all,

My wife and I have had our place in Cabo Roig for 1 year. Ive since had an email from my lawyer stating that we owe 4.42E each, but the lawyer wants 181E to complete this process!

Seems ridiculous to me, and wonder how I can pay this myself?

What documentation do i need, and where can I pay this small sum?

thanks

Nick

Hi Nick

If you use the search facility at the top of the page type in Non Resident Tax in the adjacent box type Everywhere it will bring you up many posts regarding Non Resident Tax.
You will need the Cadastral Value of your property, this can be found on a Suma Bill (IBI Property Tax). I suspect you may not have received this bill, your solicitor will probably have the information. The completed Modelo 210 Non Resident Tax can be paid at your bank.

This is the link to the Agencia Tributaria website with the form that you need to fill in online and then print it off. You need to do one for each owner of the property. The printed PDF bears no resemblance to the online form, there will be 5 pages 2 information pages and 3 that you take to your bank

Hello Nick,

It is ridiculous - dont pay them. As an example, I am resident & I have an assesoria, with an office in Torrevieja who does my  annual tax declaration - she charges me €40. There are many companies who get recommended on the forum who will complete the procedure for non residents for a similar amount.

Hopefully people  who use these servcies, can recommend someone.

Cheers

Hi Anne,

Thank you for your informative reply. I do have the Cadastral value of my property from my Suma bill (IBI property tax).

Thank you also for the link to completing this form.

One quick question if I may: when I start to fill in the form it asks for a NIF and in brackets states (If you do not have an NIF (tax ID) or previously obtained identification code, click HERE to get your identification code). I do not have an NIF code, and the 'click here' facility doesn't work on the webpage form.

Any clues on what to do?

thanks

Nick

Hello Paulab,

I need to pay 4.42 E for me and my wife for the number of days we have owned our property in 2021 (December 9th 2021). So i am loathed to pay high fees to complete this task, and simply want to do it myself.

My question is this:

"One quick question if I may: when I start to fill in the form it asks for a NIF and in brackets states (If you do not have an NIF (tax ID) or previously obtained identification code, click HERE to get your identification code). Confused!

thanks Nick

I’m pretty sure the N.I.F number is the N.I.E number, which you must surely have if you’ve purchased a property?
