If you don’t want to do your own have a look at this site http://spanishtaxforms.co.uk/spanish-property.html I’ve used them before I decided to start doing my own. They charge £29.95 that’s per property not per person so if there is more than one owner it’s even cheaper and it’s all done by email. They are very helpful and the site is very good.

Are you sure? You shouldn't have been able to buy a property here without an NIE number. If you can't find it anywhere else, it will be on the deeds.
If you really do need an NIE, then you can usually do it at a Spanish consulate or embassy in your own country.

Hi as Jim says are you sure? If you don’t have your deeds to hand, have you looked on your electricity bill, if you are with Iberdrola it is in the section at the bottom of the bill under the heading Datos Del Contracto it will have your name then Carta De Trabajo your NIE will be there, it will start with a letter followed by several numbers ending in another letter. It’s also on your Suma Bill which you should have received recently.

Sorry I can only suggest that you follow Jim’s advice and obtain a NIE. All our utility bills etc come in my husbands name but I have my own NIE. We were buying the property jointly, so it was the first thing that the Estate Agent did taking us to the Police Station in Elche to obtain them. Hope you can get it sorted.

Have you checked if you're anywhere near a Spanish embassy or consulate?
