Ive tried calling the office on many occasions since end of March.  Ive never managed to get through and now being connected to an automated message in Spanish (unfortunately Im a real beginner at Spanish language) which mentions something about June 14/15.  Just wondered if anyone had also heard the message and might be able to tell me what its saying. I need to speak to them about paying my tax (I dont have my reference number as first time Ill be paying the tax since buying my apartment).  Fingers crossed!

PS - SUMA online chat gave me the telephone number to ring - 0034 965292000

Louise, I think you gave up too soon. If you continue listening to the message, it switches to English and then tells you when they are available. I didn't listen past that point, but suggest you do so.

As well as online chat, have you tried the online contact form?:

https://www.suma.es/en/cuerpo_contacto.xhtml

If your query is about IBI, the 2019 bill would have been sent to and should have been paid by the previous owner, unless your solicitor retained funds from the purchase price for it to be paid by you.

The payment period for 2020 IBI doesn't start until 17th August.

Hey Jim. Ahh darn.. felt like I had waited to the end of the message, but I'll definitely give it another go.

Have indeed sent messages through online form (5 times), but no response unfortunately.

That's great news Torrevieja Suma for 2020 is August. I'd been advised by several people it was April, so was thinking I'm very late in paying. (Not sure how accomodating they will be re late payment due to travel restrictions etc). All being well should be able to visit Spain by August - fingers crossed!

Thank you once again for your much appreciated help.

Take care

Louise
