Hi Everyone

Our NIE numbers were issued in December 2004.  Will they still be valid?

Many thanks

Heather

Many thanks for your reply.

We didn't actually live in Spain, we just bought a property as a holiday home, so we didn't have a 'residencia permanente', although I do remember a 'padron'.  We then sold the property in 2010 and didn't think any more about it.

We're now just starting to look at a permanent move to the southern Costa Blanca area for our retirement, and thought the NIE number was a place to start!  We really haven't got a clue at the moment, but you've got to start somewhere, right?!

I've just joined this forum today and the boards seem to have a whole host of information, so I'll be doing plenty of research!

Kind regards, Heather
