Walking football

Thanks for getting back so quickly Nev. Did you manage to get any other takers? I'm struggling to see who the four members of this forum are! My partner Davie and a couple of friends would be very keen but haven't played it before. We think we may be able to convince a few more but may still be a few short! Any help gratefully received! 😊

Hi Les I arrived in torrevieja in October and posted about the walking football around November. To be honest I didn't get any takers and I have now moved to La Zenia. I would definitely be interested in starting a team . I played it quite regularly back in England so I can talk anyone through the rules. It's simple really football but no running 😄 I reckon we would need a minimum of 6 or 8 to get started . Please keep in touch and if you can rally enough players then great. I think you said you knew a venue that would be helpful. I can start looking for venues once we have the interest. Thanks again for your reply . Hope it comes off.

We will ask around and see what we come up with and get back to you and Colin who I note was interested too. We'll also find out how much it is to book where we're thinking of. I'm sure we can get this going!

Hi Lels I have had another person interested in walking football.  He goes by the name Den Smith. He also ask if we all could meet for a beer and see what we can do to get it going let me know what you think regards Nev.

That's fantastic. My partner Davie is in the UK for a month at the moment so he hasn't done much about it for now. He comes back mid September and can start trying to get people interested again after that, and meet up to discuss it. So far there are only three interested on this side but I think he could recruit more. Did Colin get back to you? Best wishes Helen 😊

Yes Colin ask to be kept updated . So by my maths there is Me ,Davie,Colin ,Den, and 2 others. Ideally we would need 10, but 8 could get us started. Thanks for your reply I will let the others know.
