Getting rid of old batteries, mattreses, furniture and other "special" and "difficult" waste.

Clipped from torrevieja.es/sal, translated by google.

THE MOBILE ECOPARK WILL BE AVAILABLE IN TORREVIEJA FROM NEXT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3

This mobile unit admits waste that is generated in houses and that cannot be deposited with normal garbage, thus facilitating its recycling and subsequent return to the production cycle.

TORREVIEJA (09-23-20). The councilor for Urban Cleaning of the Torrevieja City Council, Carmen Gómez Candel, informs that starting next Saturday, October 3, and until August 27, 2021, the mobile Ecopark will be available in our city. This unit will visit Torrevieja three Saturdays a month in different parts of the municipality, as well as one Friday a month at the Torrevieja Market on Fridays. The waste deposit schedule will be from 08:30 to 14:30.

A total of 50 different types of waste may be taken to the mobile Ecopark with a limitation per person per day of the following items:
- Furniture and fixtures (2 units)
- Rubble (50 kg)
- Gardening and pruning remains (1 unit)
- Cooking oil (10 liters)
- Large household appliances (1 unit)
- Mattresses (1 unit)

The type of waste that this mobile unit accepts are fluorescent, battery, batteries, paints, cleaning products, contaminated packaging, ink cartridges, X-rays, electrical appliances, mineral oils, plastics , metals, textiles, used vegetable oils, bulky waste, electrical appliances or home furnishings, wood, green waste, rubble and construction debris from minor works. In short, those wastes that are generated in homes and that cannot be deposited with normal garbage. This facilitates recycling and subsequent return to the production cycle.

When the interested party goes to the mobile Ecopark, he must inform the operator of what type of waste he is carrying. The operator will tell you where to deposit it, and then weigh it and enter the data into the computer system available to the unit. It will be stored in its corresponding container and the user will receive a ticket as a guarantee. If you have any questions about the accepted waste, all interested parties can contact the telephone number 681 037 697.

This mobile Ecopark unit has an established protocol against COVID-19, which is as follows:
- Maintain the safety distance
- Use mandatory mask
- Follow operator's instructions
- Hand disinfection after delivery of waste

The mobile Ecopark is a multifunctional ecological station of the Sustainable Vega Baja Consortium that visits, providing service, to the municipalities of Vega Baja.
