Not much you can do from UK other than perhaps give the number of a friend etc. in Spain, if you have anyone. It can always be changed later.

You could look into the world of 'virtual numbers'.

For the future definitely get a Spanish SIM, it need not cost more than €10-12/mth - I recommend Lobster (Movistar) but but first check which network provides adequate coverage where it's needed.

Even as a holiday home for sure you'll be coming across situations for which a Spanish number is a must.

I think you need / its an NIE number to contract with utility companies

Quick, Good, Cheap…. For your preferred solution pick any two, because you then cant have the third.

so for a solution personally i suggest you employ a lawyer who will sort it all out for you or advise which way to go, they will apply for your NIE number and set everything up.

I think you didn't correctly read my post. Contract signed which includes NIE. JUST NO SPANISH  PHONE NUMBER.

Hi, you can get a Spanish sim from Amazon UK, all you need then is an old phone to use it in or if your phone accepts 2 sims sorted.

As someone else mentioned, you can get a virtual number, just google Spanish virtual phone number.
