Does anyone know what the electricity tax is that has appeared on the October bill from Iberdrola?

Checked previous bills and it is not noted on them.

Electricity tax has always been on my Iberdrola bills. Was 3.8% in June but went up to 5.1% in August and has been since. Going back to Feb this year it as 2.5%. They reduced it from 5% to cope with the cost of living crisis but has been going up however, the tax has always been there on my bills. Even a few years ago it was still on there.

Haven't had an October one yet as it's not yet the end of the month. September was 5.11%

There's no tax item on my Iberdrola invoice as far as I can see (except for IVA of course).

Lucky you. Down on the page that says Bill details, the last line under Energy there is electricity tax 5,11269632 %

IVA reducido comes two sections down from that.

It's above that under REGULATORY CHARGES

REGULATORY CHARGES

Fixed funding for subsidised rate 33 days x 0,006282 €/day 0,21 €

Electricity tax 5,11269632 %  2.62€

Impuesto de la electricidad

That's exactly how mine looks. Only €1.35 but that's not the point.

Indeed, I found it. Thank you 👍

Not that this is enough to cause any concern, but why has it been raised from 3.8% to 5.1% ?

Taxes on utilities were reduced during the financial crisis a couple of years ago. The government reduced all taxes on water, electricity, gas, petrol and so on and are now just putting them back to the original charges as we are all rich again.
