I have an old fridge that I need to get rid of. I understand that the Council in Torrevieja take old appliances for free. Has anyone got the details of the council department so that I can dispose of the small fridge

If you can't transport it yourself, ring the council and they'll tell you when to leave it out by the bin.
If it's still working, put it out with a note on it saying 'funciona bien' and it will soon disappear.

In Torrevieja now you will get fined if you leave anything out by the bin without authorisation from the town hall, in October 64 people have been fined,neighbours are encouraged to report to the town hall anyone putting anything next to the green bins, 4 police local have been assigned to to try and stop this fly tipping, at the moment in our area it is working.
