Flooding

I have been watching the weather in torrevieja.the flooding is awful. I need to know what is the normal weather like as my husband and I are considering a move here.

I am due to travel to Torrevieja for a few weeks next Tuesday(17th)and wonder if anyone would be kind enough to give me some detail about the current situation in the town, mainly the centre. My apartment is in 03181, Calle Maria Parodi, which is quite elevated. I'd also be interested to know whether the road from Alicante airport to the town is back to normal as I tend not to like surprises!

We are just outside the Town and have been here for almost 20 years and have NEVER known weather like the past week in Spain.
It is fabulous here, and we would not go back to the UK.....the language is the only thing we still find tricky and we don't know very much, or any Spaniards!!
We can recommend living here in Spain.

Hi, we moved out here in September 2001 and have never regretted it. The weather we have just been experiencing is not normal, Spain have not had weather like this for 170 years. The weather normally is brilliant, I would not let the latest weather put you off, all over the world including the UK have had bad storm weather this year, Spain is no different.
