Sorry if this has been asked before but I am just confused. I haven't been outside the house for eight weeks. My husband has been doing the shopping as he drives. I know that this is trivial but do we still have to shop in the nearest supermarket? I can't get everything that I need out of the consum. I know that you still have to shop alone but I would really like to go to another shop. TIA Vickie

Yes the rule is that you must use your most local supermarket.

If there are things you genuinely need for dietary or health reasons, and can prove it, then your oh can legitimately travel to buy them for them you.

If on the other hand you're just missing some of the things you like to buy - as I'm certain many of us are me included - then I'm afraid you're stuck with Consum.

The question about to become moot however as from Monday, and within the Los Altos/Torrevieja area, he will be able to shop more or less where he likes.

So,from Monday, you don't have to shop at your nearest Supermarket? I haven't ready anything legally about that. My husband would like to visit our nearest Iceland if possible. Today,I have seen quite a few cars from my balcony with more than one person in. Thought it was still driver only?

On Friday 1st May my wife and I drove to a specialist supermarket in Torrevieja from just outside of Cabo Roig.  We were stopped at a check point on the N332 at Punta Prima.  The policeman was quite happy with the wife in the back seat but did question if the supermarket was open.  I said it was and he waved us on our way. The point I'm making is use your common sense.
