Hi just had a call supposedly from orange saying my contract is cancelled! Did I still have Internet? Well yes I do. Passed me on to English speaking person who then apologised. Any clues?

Fishing... your going to get calls now that they know your English and you have internet.

One that I get says they are my internet provider and have detected a fault.. also that I was involved in an accident they want to help... not the internet guys lol

Any spam calls you now get, you need to block, because they will sell your number as active... be careful what you say.. best hang up and block.

I put my numbers on that ROBINSON block list, still get calls though. Modern technology has helped to create a world of deceit.

I love these types of spam calls.

The game for me is to see if I can get them to put the phone down on me and if they don't, I fail!

Don't be scammed. In MOST situations, your provider would contact you by email (as well as snail mail) and not telephone you to tell you that your account has been cancelled.

Most 'automated' message systems, which appear to be humans speaking, are noticeable by their pause between your response and their next question. It is not natural and very obvious when you listen for it. Furthermore, when asked a question, give a stupid response like "what time is the next bus?" IF the response continues as if nothing abnormal has been said, then it is highly likely it is an automated system. IF the person on the other end makes reference to your non-sensible response, just say you were talking to a friend and carry on!

I cannot think of a situation lately when I have not had the call hung up on me! I win!!!

Hope it helps
