Several members under 65 years age have reported that they have received appointments for covid vaccine, myself included 😁😁

Included in the text message is important information that should be read prior to having the vaccine, (the same as any other medication)

All this info is in Spanish or possibly Valencian.

For some reason, I am unable to copy and paste the link for the website on this forum but you can find it by googling “AstraZeneca covid vaccine patient information leaflet.”

Hi Barry 21

All the info you need is available on another post on this forum - have a look at the post entitled “Covid vaccine” by Michael84 from Piñata de Campiverde. A comprehensive reply can be found in the answer by Pix Elated

Hope this helps

Paddy

Hi Barry,

Are you registered on the Spanish state health system with a SIP card?  If so, are your contact details up to date?  In particular, do you have a Spanish telephone number?  If so, you should receive a text to your mobile, or call to your landline, advising your appointment for the vaccination at the appropriate time for your age group.

There has been a delay in the 65 to 79 years old age group, because of concerns with the AstraZeneca vaccination so, after completing the vaccination of teachers with AZ, Spain is using up its remaining supplies on the general population under 65 years old.  The remaining groups between 65 and 79 years old will start the week after. On 19 April, Spain is scheduled to start receiving the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) single dose jab - 1.3m doses in April, 2.9m doses in May and 3.5m in June, so hopefully you'll be called in a couple of weeks' time.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hello Barry,

You say you are on the Santa Pola padron, your location says Salinas but a post in Nov. said you were moving to Villamartin?  This might cause some confusion - where do you actually live now?

Cheers

We moved away from Santa Pola in December because of the crowds many of which had no mask.

We haven't been able to register padron with our local gov office mainly because we are afraid to go out.

We don't even know where the local office is.

Our last appointment to get padron in Santa Pola was made for us.

We have written to get a new appointment but not heard back yet.

Ok Barry I understand , if you are still registered with the Santa Pola clinic, then hopefully you will hear from them when your appointment is due. It will  mean you will have to travel to wherever the vaccinations are being given, maybe Santa Pola or somewhere nearby   but you must update your information if you want to go to your nearest salud for your other healthcare.......I assume one of the clinics in the  Villamartin area?

You should contact Santa Pola clinic to see if they have your phone number...

Here are their details

Address: Piscina Municipal, Av. Albacete, s/n, 03130 Santa Pola, AlicanteHours: Open 24 hours

Good Luck with your appointment
