You just need your TIE or sip or passport not all three. In denia they are giving the Astra Zeneca for 65 - 60 years old which may have changed now but over 65 is the Pfizer one and they haven’t got down to 74 years old yet as you get both vaccines in about 3 weeks, no side effects with this one ! If you are registered it will be your turn very soon.

Had text for astrazeneca vaccination in Denia on wednesday, I am 62. Unsure about having it due to side effects blood clots etc

Would prefer to have  other type.  Surely we should have a choice of vaccine.  Apparently Hospitals in UK are getting a lot of people with side effects headaches fevers etc in emergency, all quite worrying.

any one else not having the vaccine due to this?

My 4 brothers and sisters (all older than me) have all had the AstraZeneca vaccine in the UK, and none of them had any side effects at all.

I will take their word for it rather than random people/rumour mongerers on social media.

This is the latest though from the European Medicines Agency which shows the very low risk of blood clots.

Hi Camelia,

I don't know the current figures, but the UK's statistics last week, regarding blood clots following the AZ vaccination, were 79 cases (including 19 fatalities) in 20m doses administered - that's less than 0.0004%.  I appreciate that one death is one too many, but your chances of dying from Covid-19 are much higher.

Personally, I don't know anyone who has experienced side effects from the AstraZeneca vaccine, other than a sore arm at the point of vaccination, or 'flu-like fever for about 24 hours.  I have a friend who is worried about having the vaccine because she suffers severe allergies, but she's decided that on balance, it's worth the risk.

Kind regards,

Kim

I'm 68 and would get the AZ vaccine, as I have not yet been called I don't have to make that decision right now, but as i feel now it's unlikely I will accept the AZ vaccine.

My sister was very Ill for over a month after her AZ jab, she is only just well enough to return to work this week. It has certainly changed my view of the safety of the AZ vaccine.

Hi,

myself and my wife had the AZ jab in early Feb, we get the second dose on April 24th. Afterwards I was okay, just a headache for a few hours, my wife had flu like symptoms for about 24 hours, then fine.

Most of our family and friends have had the AZ vaccine, none have had any serious reaction. I am 71, my wife 70.

You have to do what you feel is best for yourself but the AZ vaccine is fine for the vast majority of people and much much better than getting covid.

Aitch.
