Hi, we are coming to Villajoyosa in March and very much looking forward to it.  We will be arriving from Benidorm and are renting a private apartment overlooking the beach.  Please can someone point me in the right direction for a reasonably priced transfer back to Alicante Airport.  We will need to be at the airport by about 9.30am.  Thanks for any help :)

Hi

You can get the Alsa bus to Alicante train station from Villajoyosa, then C6 bus which runs 24/7 to airport.     (There is a tram from Villajoyosa but it will be slower)

Per person approx 10€ total.

If you Google Maps it will be quite accurate in giving you an idea of times as you can change departure dates/times.

Hope you have a lovely holiday.

Kind Regards

Maria

Even if you just take the bus into Alicante, then taxi to Airport should only be approx 18 or 20€
If you have time, try a visit into Alicante as there is lots to see.   Enjoy. 😊

Thanks Maria.  We have stayed in Alicante a few times, and decided to try Villajoyosa for a change as it looks so pretty!  We know the airport bus from Alicante to the airport, but wasn't sure how easy it would be to get from Villajoyosa so early in the morning (probably having to leave the apartment by 7.30am latest).  I have decided to book a shuttle bus from the centre of the resort, as that will take us direct to the airport.  Really appreciate your response.

Are there plenty of restaurants and bars open at this time of the year?  I've read about visiting the chocolate factory which appeals to me very much!!!!

Thanks, Julie x

I agree Villajoyosa is so pretty especially that picturesque area at the beach.   Such a shame how poor architecture and lack of planning has spoiled many areas.

Oh certainly everything should be open for business.  Chocolate factory is on my wish list.  Xx

Hello, just scrolling and ready your thread. I live in Villajoyosa and you won't be disappointed. All the shop and cafes, bars etc around open. Theres a nice trickle of people now, not too quiet and not too busy. You absolutely have to visit Valor! Although the manufacturing side is close during march for a siftware update, you can still get the popular guided your around the factory plus that museum and shop. Also just up from the beach (next to the escalators and "Parque Censal") there is Valor cafe. The menu is chocolate lovers heaven-my fave being the churros and chocolate-you wont get churros anywhete else like them! By the way, Valor is on of three chocolatiers in the city...Perez is great...smaller but authentic. Also worth a mention is the Villajoyosa museum on Calle Colon. Free entry. Have a fabulous holiday 😎

Thank you Mathew. It all sounds fab, I can't wait now! We fly into Alicante tomorrow and will arrive at Villajoyosa a week Monday for a few nights. Looking forward to it very much. And I'll definitely be trying everything chocolatey!!

The quickest transfer to and from Alicante Airport to Villajoyosa is with a company called Beniconnect.Easily found on the web and priced €16.They use a large minibus and Villajoyosa drop off/pickup is just by the road bridge and main square.Very professional and transfer time 40 mins.

I love the tram and C6 bus but sometimes flights are too early or too late and www.beniconnect.com are 24hrs

Hi, thanks for your reply. We have booked beniconnect for our transfer as it looks to be the best (and cheaper) option for us.

We arrive on Monday, using the little tram from benidorm. Is there just one stop in Villajoyosa? The nearest hotel to the apartment we are renting is Hotel Allon apparently (and that is about 750 metres away!) Thanks again for any help or advice.
