Hi I hope you can help and am buying a holiday home hopefully completing early August. I am trying to sort a basic Spanish bank account out through Sabadell but all there accounts seem to have fees associated with them. All I need the account for is to pay a regularly monthly standing order from a uk account to purely pay utility bills, local council tax and monthly maintenance fees. Can anyone suggest a bank that          Offers free banking for this purpose.

If you keep 2000€ in your account with Bankia then there are no charges as a non resident. You will be charged for a credit/debit card but it is refunded back to your account. The account is POR SER TU. I have been with Bankia for a few years after moving from other banks when fees were introduced.

You may want to look at CUENTA ON with Bankia. It is purely an online account. I don't remember all the details but you can find them in English online and no fees.

I was planning on changing to that but was advised that the Bankia account I have at present is better for me.
