Be very careful about IPTV, it is not all it is cracked up to be or what an installer might claim. You need a strong and stable internet connection otherwise your TV picture will freeze and you will loose channels at times. We were taken in, got no refund and had to get someone else to install a 1.4 metre dish. No premium sports channels but at least we now have TV we can view.

A 1.4 dish is not helpful advice, you have more chance of flying than getting Scandinavian tv on that size 2.4 YES 1.NO  JOHN.

Pete, you clearly did not read  or understand my post, I was advising care before getting an IPTV box as its performance is seriously affected by the strength and stability of your internet signal. Not all installers are upfront with that information.

I will not sell an IPTV box until you ie the client does a test on speed test . net  at 8-9-10 at night because that's when they need tv and thats when 10mbs becomes 5-6 mbs and 6 mbs becomes 3 and gives you no picture.

All clients think they have a good internet, but most people are only using it for bits printing boarding cards and looking at stuff on line streaming is a whole new ball game to them. If there internet is not good enough they aint having one my boxes because I never calls saying its buffering unless its an update on box or there supplier is playing up. INTERNET DOES NOT always do what it says it does.

I will not recommend internet because its so fragmented i will give them names of suppliers, but not a recommendation.

Pete, your reply gives reassurance, sadly however in my experience not all installers are as professional and honest, as you might already know beachside in La Zenia can be a bit of a black hole for internet access and therefore not suitable for IPTV, we are happy with the TV we now have but I will note your link for sharing with others in other areas, John.

These IPTV providers are all illegal so don't expect anything in the way of customer service, it's not just a matter of your internet speed, there are other factors.

Your statement is very sweeping. Do you not think people are aware its illegal, some of us do give service thats why we are still here after 16 years of service. But we are not all the same in that you are correct.

I have no idea why or how you get a status of Helpful Ray you are just sticking your nose in when no one has asked for your advice why I ask. if people want it I can supply it and so will many others at least I try to help people with a problem that is important to them, I have been here 16 years.
