Hi, we have just purchased a property and are going down the golden visa route. We have applied and been told it’s a two month process. My wife is now panicking as s the paperwork is with our solicitor but he is having trouble getting onto the website. She is convinced If we miss the deadline( which is tomorrow) they we will be refused the visa and won’t be able to live in Spain etc. can someone put her kind at rest and let us know what happens if the solicitor csnt get the paperwork in on time TIA

Check with your lawyer. I recall there's a protocol they use that refers to 'Administrative Silence'.

(Silencio Administrativo)

If your lawyer invokes it, the Immigration office (I believe) are forced to either answer or give you the appropriate time.

It's widely used in Spain. Here's one website that explains:-

https://www.immigrationspain.es/en/administrative-silence/

Norm.

PS Been here 35 years, I doubt it'll be a problem, but kick you lawyer up the culo anyway, push for an answer.
