Does anyone have any idea what this yellow stuff is? It was all over everything a couple of days ago. It ain't sand, surely, as it's far too bright for that.

Looks like pine pollen to me.

It is that time of year again. Our pine trees are releasing clouds of pollen into the breeze. It washes off easily.

In a few weeks it will be billions of pine seed husks (they look like earwigs).

I doubt it. Having lived in Tenerife for 3+ years with the many calimas, we are familiar with the sand. This is totally different. bright yellow and almost like paint.

Definitely pine pollen, our place gets covered in it, clean it up in the morning & it's back again a few hours later. As Kelvin said the coco pops will be appearing shortly.

Definitely Pine Pollen, I'm afraid for the next month you might as well have a damp cloth surgically attached to your hand!

Same every year.

If you've got olive trees near you, expect exactly the same when they come into blossom.
